New Beginnings
DaySpring Community Church has been an organism and a living part of the body of Christ since January of 2000. If you are curious as to why we refer to our group as an organism as opposed to an organization, read our mission statement. We believe in the true fellowship and collective works of the disciples of Jesus based on love and commitment instead of duty and responsibility. We wholly embrace the mission of the ‘body’ of Christ working together to spread the good news to all man – God loves you so much that He came and lived among us and then died and rose again for the sole purpose of His creation be reconciled to Him.
Central to our unity is our two-decade span of hunger for the Word of God and constant commitment to study the Bible – the expressions of God in human language to His people. We have a great passion to know it and to see it communicated with clarity to every person across the globe. The amazement never fades at the response of God’s people when they grab a hold of God-given revelations found in the text. The personal testimonies about the life-changing effects of this knowledge never cease to bring wonder and joy to us all.
The first reformation gave the Bible back to the people. The one now in progress is God giving the ministry back to every believer. We are living in exciting and quickly changing times – we are closer to the end of this ‘human’ part of the spiritual journey than ever before. The methods of communication and transmission of the Gospel are expanding and transforming at an unprecedented rate. With such accelerated movement comes equally accelerated attacks of those who are against the knowledge and direction of God. It is becoming ever more challenging to hear the truth among the opinions, media spins and outright denunciations of a Christian path. The ‘way’ of the Lord is a road much more difficult to see among the signs on a highway where we are traveling faster than we can see.
Now more than ever it is imperative to know what you believe and be able to disciple others. The traditions of the past where God’s people assembled physically in one place to worship Him are eroding. We must be ready to ‘virtually’ spread the Word and prepare ourselves to personally answer the questions the unbeliever has for us. The days of inviting an individual to a church service where a preacher or elder can answer all are fading fast. Too many people limit their seeking to a search engine that has no spiritual discernment or commitment to the truth as God sees it. It is vital that we be available to disciple and encourage in spirit and in truth.
We have a great desire to equip the Dayspring family to know Jesus and make Him known and it is our most fervent prayer. If you have questions or comments, please email them using our Contact Us format. We promise to answer according to God’s Word and our prayers for your best interest. Be encouraged. You are not alone, ever.
May God’s blessings be upon you today!
